Security Updates for July 2009:

July 6, 2008.   Microsoft Video ActiveX control. Malicious hackers are launching code execution exploits against new, unpatched vulnerability in the Microsoft Video ActiveX Control, the company warned in an advisory.  link

July 13, 2009    Apple plugs dangerous Safari security holes Apple has released Safari 4.0.2 to fix a pair of security flaws that could lead to cross-site scripting or remote code execution attacks.   The vulnerabilities affect Safari for Windows (XP and Vista) and Mac OS X.    link

July14, 2009  Microsoft Patch Tuesday contains 6 bulletins.  Microsoft and Zero Day blog information.  These patches reboot the computer.

July 17, 2009.  Mozilla Firefox 3.51 update.  Link

July 22, 2009.  Mozilla Firefox 3.0.12 update (and they encourage users to  update to the latest version 3.51)

July 28, 2009.  Microsoft releases a patch for IE vulnerabilities link and a Visual Studio patch.  These patchs reboot the computer.

July 31, 2009.  Apple  iPhone patch available for an SMS flaw that could allow remote control of all functions of the phone.  Updates iPhone software to 3.0.1  Patch is downloaded via iTunes.  More at Wired
